How toDispose of Waste Impacted by Heavy Rainfall
【Garbage ThatFits in a 45ℓBag】
○Separate waste into combustibles andnon-combustibles, and place it in a transparent garbage bag of 45ℓ or less.Dispose of it at your usual garbage collection site, separate from your regularhousehold waste.
Collection Period:August 12 (Tues) – 22 (Fri)
※Disaster waste willalso be collected on August 16 (Sat) and 17 (Sun)
【OversizedWaste (Tatami Mats/Dressers/etc.)】
○Oversized waste damaged by the heavyrainfall will be collected free of charge by prior application to the Gomi ZeroCall Center (no oversized waste disposal sticker required).

ApplicationPeriod: August 12 (Tues) – 22 (Fri) ※Up to five piecesof oversized waste may be collected per application
〇For waste brought directly to the city’swaste processing facilities (Tobu Incineration Plant/Seibu Incineration Plant, OgidaEnvironmental Center), disposal fees will be waived upon completion of separateprocedures.

Ogida Environmental Center: Non-combustible disaster waste
〇The following three documentsare required for application:
(1) Disaster Victim Certificate (copy) or photographs clearly showingthe disaster damage [Required]
(2) Photographs of the waste being brought to the facility [Required]
(3) Letter of Proxy (with the proxy’s seal) – required only when arepresentative applies on your behalf [If applicable]
※Failure to properly separate waste will hindercollection and subsequent processing, so please ensure strict separation ofgarbage.
※Even if damaged by the heavy rainfall, the citycannot collect the following four designated home appliances: TVs,refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners. Please dispose of them inaccordance with the Act for Recycling of Specified Kinds of Home Appliances.
※ Regular household garbage that wasnot impacted by the heavy rainfall should be disposed of according to the usualrules.
